The “Celebrate a Century of Science” public speaker series will run until November 18, with speakers covering subjects big and small: water and land management, the sterile insect release program, tree fruit breeding, beneficial microbes, and Little Cherry virus. Upcoming talks include:
-Sept 29: Exploring the Value of Agricultural Land and Landscapes
-Oct 7: Ridding the Worm from the Apple – The Codling Moth Nature War
-Oct 21: Tree Fruit Breeding in Summerland – Past Successes and Future Prospects
Details for each talk will be added to www.agr.gc.ca/events as they become available. The talks will take place either at PARC or at Okanagan College.
