Completing the Agriculture Census is one of the MOST IMPORTANT surveys you as a farmer can do! It WILL impact your farm in the coming years.
The information you provide through the 2016 Ag Census is necessary to help the government understand and best meet the needs of farmers and ranchers across the province of B.C.

Benefits to completing the 2016 Agriculture Census:
- Local, provincial and federal governments use Census data to understand the state and trends of the industry and develop policies and programs to help farmers and farm communities.
- Census data provides critically important information for developing farm support programs and evaluating the impact of natural disasters such as floods, droughts and storms on the agriculture sector. This improves the potential for quick reaction when a natural disaster does occur.
- It helps government understand how provincial policies and programs are working,
- It is used for allocating federal program funding ("GF3") between provinces.
